Description
This mango habanero sauce is the perfect balance of tropical sweetness and fiery heat. Made in under 20 minutes with fresh ingredients, it’s ideal for wings, tacos, grilled meats, or dipping.
Ingredients
1 ripe mango, peeled and diced
2–3 habanero peppers, stemmed and seeded (adjust for heat)
2 tbsp white vinegar
1 tbsp lime juice (fresh)
1–2 tbsp sugar (adjust to taste)
1 garlic clove, minced
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 cup water (to adjust consistency)
Instructions
1. In a small pot, combine diced mango, habaneros, garlic, sugar, vinegar, lime juice, and salt.
2. Simmer over medium heat for about 8–10 minutes, until mango is soft.
3. Transfer to a blender and blend until smooth, adding water to reach desired consistency.
4. Taste and adjust sweetness, heat, or acidity as needed.
5. Pour into a jar and cool before serving. Store in the fridge for up to 2 weeks.
Notes
You can substitute the mango with pineapple or peach for a fruitier twist.
Add a dash of chili powder or smoked paprika for an extra layer of flavor.
