Description
This mac n cheese with alfredo sauce is ultra-creamy, cheesy, and easy to make in just 20 minutes. It’s a one-pot comfort meal your family will ask for again and again.
Ingredients
12 oz elbow macaroni
2 tablespoons unsalted butter
2 cups Alfredo sauce (jarred or homemade)
1½ cups shredded cheddar cheese
½ cup shredded mozzarella cheese
¼ teaspoon garlic powder
Salt and black pepper, to taste
Optional: cayenne, paprika, parsley, or breadcrumbs for garnish
Instructions
1. Cook pasta in salted water according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
2. In a large saucepan, melt butter over medium heat.
3. Add Alfredo sauce and garlic powder, stir until warm and bubbling.
4. Stir in shredded cheddar and mozzarella cheese until smooth.
5. Season with salt, black pepper, and optional spices.
6. Fold in the cooked pasta and stir to coat with sauce.
7. Serve hot, garnished with parsley or breadcrumbs if desired.
Notes
For a smoky twist, try adding bacon, smoked gouda, or a spoonful of roasted red pepper sauce.
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 4 days.
Reheat gently on the stovetop with a splash of cream or milk to restore texture.
