Description
This sweet and spicy hot honey BBQ sauce brings bold Southern flavor to everything from chicken to veggies. Ready in 20 minutes with pantry staples!
Ingredients
1 cup ketchup
1/3 cup honey
1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon smoked paprika
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
Salt and black pepper to taste
Instructions
1. In a medium saucepan, combine all ingredients over medium heat.
2. Whisk continuously until the mixture begins to bubble.
3. Reduce the heat to low and let it simmer for 10–12 minutes.
4. Remove from heat and let the sauce cool slightly.
5. Pour into a jar or airtight container for storage.
6. Use immediately or refrigerate for up to 7 days.
Notes
Adjust heat by increasing or reducing red pepper flakes.
For a thinner consistency, add a splash of water while reheating.
Freezes well for up to 3 months.
