I came up with this recipe after eating Recipe#58447. I was out of bananas, and was really wanting a warm, comforting bowl of oatmeal that could be made quickly. I already had a can of lite no sugar added apple pie filling that had been opened, so I thought I'd give it a try. If you want it to be a sweet as pie, you might want to add some brown sugar instead of or in addition to the sweetener. This is adapted from the Quaker oats Vanishing Oatmeal cookie recipe. I love oatmeal cookies, but most are too bland for me. My family gobble these up almost as soon as they come out of the oven.
