I came up with this recipe after eating Recipe#58447. I was out of bananas, and was really wanting a warm, comforting bowl of oatmeal that could be made quickly. I already had a can of lite no sugar added apple pie filling that had been opened, so I thought I'd give it a try. If you want it to be a sweet as pie, you might want to add some brown sugar instead of or in addition to the sweetener. Feel free to add raisins if you like them (I don't) and to add to or take away from the spices. -- pos read more »

This sounds absolutely delicious to me, although I may have to work with it to get it diabetic-friendly for myself. But others may enjoy this while I keep it tucked away. It sounds perfect for a holiday potluck table at work. Recipe from Charmaine Haravey of Niwot, Colorado. -- posted by Sue L read more »

This is adapted from the Quaker oats Vanishing Oatmeal cookie recipe. I love oatmeal cookies, but most are too bland for me. My family gobble these up almost as soon as they come out of the oven. I use a small general purpose ice cream scoop to make uniformly sized cookies.Enjoy! -- posted by read more »
