Add 1/4 oz. or so of Angostura bitters to a shot glass, and equal parts apricot brandy and sweet red vermouth to fill it. Tastes better and smoother than it sounds.

First: bring water, sugar, and mint to a boil. Let cool. Shake 1.5 oz. vodka, 1/4 oz. fresh lemon juice, 1 oz. cucumber juice and 1/2 oz. of the mint syrup in a cocktail shaker with ice. Strain into glass.
